Fifteen women are competing in the contest -- a preliminary to the Miss America pageant -- that will crown both a Miss Hilton Head Island and a Miss Teen Hilton Head Island. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. today at the Hilton Head Island High School Visual and Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 and are available at the door.
